Who can use a Book Club Kit?
Any Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library cardholder may check out a Book Club Kit. One person in the group checks out the Kit and passes the books out to their group. The cardholder is responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Can a Book Club Kit be placed on hold ?
Yes, a hold may be placed on a Kit that is checked out in the same manner as a book. Search for the title in the catalog; select the Kit version of the book (BCK); go to full details; click on ‘place hold’ on the left side of the page under ‘add to list’. If the Kit is not checked out, then call the reference desk at 213-2331 to place the hold. A phone hold will hold the Kit for 10 days before it must be checked out. Placing a hold on a Kit months in advance is not currently possible.
How are the titles for the Book Club Kits selected?
The Kits are generated from the main library's monthly Friends of the LIbrary Book Discussion. The Friends of the Library sponsor the purchase of these books and the kits are a means of assisting local reading groups.
