Borrower Card Policy:

The Flagstaff City Coconino County Public Library is funded by and for the use of residents of Flagstaff and Coconino County. In order to protect its investment in materials for public use, the library requires residence in Coconino County before issuing a borrower's card.

The library will issue a borrower card to anyone meeting all requirements of either #1 or #2.

  1. Permanent Residents of Coconino County (18 years of age and older) ...
    A current Government issued I.D. with name, address, and picture (or valid Federal Military license) (must be the original I.D., NOT a photocopy); and
    Proof of a local mailing address (examples: Utility bill, checkbook with imprinted address, envelope with a current postmark). General Delivery is NOT acceptable.
    Will be residing in Coconino County for a minimum of 30 days.

  2. NAU and CCC students ...
    A current Government issued I.D. with name, address, and picture; and
    A current NAU or CCC I.D. and
    Proof of a local mailing address (see above for examples). General Delivery is NOT acceptable.

Borrowers will be issued a Borrower Card for a period of THREE years. Persons under 18 years of age may be issued a Borrower's Card if their parent or legal guardian provides, in person, the above requirements.

Persons who do not have the required identification may petition for an exception by completing a Borrower Application Exception form.

When obtaining your library card, be sure to obtain a PIN, which allows you to many more privileges with your library card. Learn more about getting a PIN.
